Glen Phillips (Apr. 14, 2008)
GLEN PHILLIPS
with special guest Jonathan Kingham
With Glen Phillips you’ll find songwriting with heart, spirit and delectable hooks from the front man of Toad the Wet Sprocket. As the front man he has sold over three million records and had a handful of radio hits. The band broke up in 1998 and Glen is now on his fourth solo album, Mr. Lemons. His previous albums feature contribution from Ethan Johns, Ben Folds and Nickel Creek.
“He has heart, melody, and pleasing lack of rock-star attitude.” – Minneapolis Star Tribune
Jonathan Kingham must be doing something right. In his first few years on the scene, he has quickly developed into a seasoned performer while sharing the stage with the likes of Shawn Colvin, Michael McDonald, Doug Stone, and Vanessa Carlton. With a soothing blend of folk, pop, country and jazz, Kingham usually comes armed with a huge tub of Red Vines, a quick wit, and has rapidly become a favorite on the northwest circuit.
GLEN PHILLIPS is performing in The Temple Theater at The Temple for Performing Arts at 10th and Locust in Downtown Des Moines.
Please note: Only children over age 5 with tickets will be allowed into the theater for this production.

Coming Soon: Male Intellect 2: The 2nd Coming (Jan. 16-20, 2008)
Male Intellect: The 2nd Coming picks up where The Male Intellect: An Oxymoron? left off. Bobby found balance and figured out what women want. That’s the good news. The bad news? He forgot. Somewhere along the line a little chauvinism crept back into his left brain and threw him off balance. Through the help of his alter egos, he’ll remember what women want. He’ll find balance and when he does, his voice of reason will call and help him focus on what’s really important.
Coming Soon: Defending The Caveman (Feb. 21 - Mar. 1, 2008)
Defending the Caveman, Broadway’s longest running solo comedy, is a hilariously insightful play about the way men and women struggle to relate. With humorous insights on contemporary feminism, and masculine sensitivity, the Caveman has found a way to mine the commonplaces of relationships that go straight to the funny bone.
Coming Soon: Late Nite Catechism (April 22-27, 2008)
Now in its 14th year, Late Nite Catechism is an uproariously funny play that take the audience back to their youth. The irrepressible “Sister” teaches class to a roomful of “students” (the audience). Throughout the course of the class, the benevolent instructor rewards the “students” for correct answers with glow-in-the-dark rosaries and other nifty prizes. Naughty students may well find themselves on stage sitting in a corner reflecting their actions. However, even the most reluctant “students” will be clamoring to get into this Sister’s “class.”
